DIY Marble Maze: Fun Crafts for Kids with Straws and Card

How to Make a DIY Bag Maze: Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome to another exciting adventure with Captain Calamity! In today’s article, we’ll be exploring the world of bag mazes. Not sure what that is? Don’t worry, I’ll show you how to create your very own maze using just a few materials. So, let’s get started!

First, gather these supplies: a piece of card, a freezer bag, some straws, and a marble. Make sure the card is cut to fit the size of the bag. Cut the straws into various lengths – be creative! And don’t forget the marble; it’s the key element for a successful maze run.

Next, let’s assemble the maze. Stick the straws onto the card using tape. Be careful not to make a mess like I always do! Make sure there’s enough space for the marble to roll down the path. Keep adding straws until you’re satisfied with the layout.

Remember, this idea was inspired by the book ‘101 Kids Activities’ – it’s worth checking out! Once you’ve finished sticking the straws, your maze is ready to be put to the test.

Place the marble at the starting point, which can be made by adding a slight curve to the card. At the bottom, create a square for the marble to end its adventurous journey. To contain the maze, preferably use a zip-lock bag to prevent any slips or spills.

Gently curve the card to slide it into the bag, making sure it’s in the right position. Don’t worry about the direction; it won’t affect the game. Once it’s secured, release the marble and watch it navigate through the maze.

Now, challenge yourself to guide the marble from the starting point to the end. It’s a great way to entertain yourself during car journeys or while waiting in a restaurant. The best part? These bag mazes are compact and portable, making them perfect for on-the-go fun.

There you have it! You’ve successfully created your own bag maze using simple materials. I hope you enjoyed this creative project from Captain Calamity Adventures. Stay tuned for more exciting episodes!
