Bad Connection by Melody Carlson

Introducing Samantha McGregor, a seemingly ordinary teenager with an extraordinary ability. Gifted with visions and dreams from God, Samantha is granted unique glimpses into the lives and troubles of others. This powerful gift comes with great responsibility.

Enter Bad Connection: Book One, a captivating story featuring Kayla Henderson, a rebellious rule-breaker who views partying as a hobby and has a strained relationship with her parents. When Kayla disappears, Samantha, like everyone else, assumes she has run away. But then, Samantha has a vision – a vision of Kayla, bound and gagged with duct tape. This unnerving image leaves Samantha wondering: is Kayla alive or dead? Was the vision real or just a frivolous dream? Most importantly, can Kayla be found in time?

A reader’s guide is also included, enhancing the reading experience.

Melody Carlson, the author, offers insight into the inspiration behind the book. In a world increasingly fascinated by supernatural abilities, Carlson reminds us that it is God who grants these gifts. She believes that humans only scratch the surface of the diverse talents He bestows upon us. In our fast-paced, technology-driven society, qualities such as insight, intuition, wisdom, and foresight are often overlooked. Carlson hopes that this series will not only provide teens with an enjoyable outlet to explore spirituality and creativity but also inspire them to develop a deeper love for God.

An Epic Series

This series is truly epic, with each book receiving a rating of 4.5 to 5 stars from me. It’s a fast read, with each book being just over 200 pages long. Despite their brevity, the books feel longer due to the intense plotlines and the number of events that take place.
