Power has its consequences. This is something that eighteen-year-old Coriolanus Snow knows all too well as he prepares to participate in the tenth annual Hunger Games as a mentor. In the midst of a declining Snow dynasty, Coriolanus must navigate a treacherous path if he hopes to come out on top.

Given the undesirable task of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low, Coriolanus faces an uphill battle. His fate and that of his tribute are now intertwined, and every decision he makes could spell either success or downfall.

As the Games begin, it becomes a battle for survival. Inside the arena, lives will be lost, and Coriolanus starts to develop unexpected emotions for his doomed tribute. Caught between the necessity of following the rules and his own desperate desire to survive, Coriolanus must make difficult choices that could ultimately determine his fate.
