Flossing with Granny: A Fun Storytime Adventure

Welcome to another exciting installment of “Ready to Read Story Time with Miss Hannah”! Today, we have a delightful tale called “Bluey Grannies.” Join Janet, Rita, and our beloved Bluey as they embark on an adventure to the shops.

Hold on tight, because chaos ensues at Mom’s Corner Store when the grannies pay a visit. In the midst of the madness, Rita forgets to pay for her beans yet again. Oh dear! Mom, having just woken up from a nap, asks Janet to wake up as well. It seems sleeping on the job is a common occurrence for Janet.

As the commotion continues, Bingo can’t help but burst into giggles and starts flossing. Bluey, however, doesn’t think grannies are capable of flossing. A dispute arises, and the girls turn to Mom for a verdict. Mom, clueless as ever, directs them to ask Dad. In the bathroom, Dad is busy battling the stinky toilet and has no answer. The girls then decide to call on Nana for her expertise.

As they dial Nana’s number, they anxiously await her response. Nana, who isn’t the most tech-savvy granny, finally figures out how to answer the call. She learns about the dance the girls have been arguing about and eagerly agrees to give it a try.

But alas, Nana’s attempt at flossing falls short. Bluey triumphantly declares her victory, while Bingo is disappointed. Bluey doesn’t understand why her sister has suddenly lost interest in being a granny and storms off. Mom, ever wise, suggests that Bluey consider whether being right is more important than keeping the game going.

In a moment of realization, Bluey makes another call to Nana. This time, she teaches Nana how to floss properly. Once Nana has mastered the dance, Bluey surprises Bingo with the news that grannies can indeed floss. A smile spreads across Bingo’s face as she admits she was wrong. Bluey’s lesson in humility is appreciated, and the sisters happily resume playing.

As the story concludes, Rita and Janet show off their impressive flossing skills. It turns out, being able to floss is much more enjoyable than being right. What a fantastic lesson for us all!
