Watercolor Illustration Inspiration & Book Recommendations

Hi everyone! Today, I wanted to share with you some amazing illustrations that I found in a set of books. I recently came across this book set called “Mini Classics” at a store. The set included four books, and although two of them didn’t catch my attention, the other two had stunning illustrations. The illustrations in these two books were so inspiring and vibrant, especially one called “Pizza Pan.” The artist behind these illustrations, EliÅ¡ka Faltýnová and Clemence Pollet, did an incredible job. I was particularly drawn to their style because I am currently working on a painting for my son’s bedroom, and I want it to be colorful and lively.

In my search for inspiration, I also stumbled upon a talented illustrator on YouTube named Studio Jess. Her videos are fresh and engaging, and her recent video about drawing flamingos really caught my eye. I loved her style and decided to incorporate some of my own ideas into the illustration for my son’s room. I thought it would be fun to add exotic flowers and palm trees to give it a vibrant and colorful touch. I plan to create a series of three different flamingos doing different things, and I’m excited to see how it turns out. If you’re interested, you can find Studio Jess on YouTube or check out her Instagram (@alladventures).

Lastly, I came across a magazine called “Making Cuts,” which included some stamp designs and patterned pages. While I wasn’t a fan of the overall magazine layout, these stamp designs and patterns were quite cool. They gave me more ideas for my son’s room decor, and I’ll definitely be incorporating them into my project. The magazine also had an article about a new product called “Distress Oxide,” which is a type of ink that can be used in various ways. I found it interesting and thought it might be worth exploring in my artwork.

I hope you found this article helpful and feel inspired to check out these amazing illustrations and artists I mentioned. Remember, creativity has no limits, so feel free to explore and make your artwork unique!
