Best Bookish Websites and Apps

Hello, book lover. If you’re like me, you might spend a good amount of your free time thinking about books. You read, you research books to find out what to read next, you talk about books, you want to know what others think about books, etc.

I’ve decided to round up and track down some of the best book related websites and apps on the internet. I’ve divided them roughly into categories. Yes, items may appear under several categories depending on how you use them.

It might be too early to celebrate the holidays for some people but it’s the time to order some bookish Holiday/ Advent boxes for upcoming season.

Best Stores to Buy Exclusive Editions of Young Adult Books

If you’ve found your way here, you’re a reader like me. You’ve probably gone a little starry-eyed over a special edition of a book you enjoy. Maybe it’s signed. Maybe it has a gorgeous cover. Whatever it was, it sucked you into the world of book hoarding collecting.

I’m here to round up some of the places that offer exclusive or special editions of Young Adult books. These are stores that offer an edition you can only purchase from them; not a ‘collector’s edition’ of a book available from multiple stores.

As always, please let me know if I’ve missed a store worth mentioning!

The Middle Grade Book Subscription Box Round Up

If you’ve found this post helpful, please consider giving me a follow. Instagram | Facebook

My YA Book Subscription Box Round Up has been wildly successful so I’ve decided to help out the younger readers out there. As a Youth Services “Librarian,” I read lots of juvenile and middle grade fiction. For those not familiar with the term, Middle Grade describes tweens or kids ages 9-12 years old. These boxes are designed with those readers in mind.

This list will be continually updated so feel free to check back. If I’m missing a box, please let me know!

This article was started with the information I found online through unboxings, comments on social media, and information shared with me as well as my personal experiences. *Indicates summarized information (and opinions) from other people who have purchased the box in question.

Yes, it is true that some of the “good” and the “bad” may just be a one-time fluke. You might have subscribed to the box with no problems but other people had issues and problems worth bringing to attention. As with any purchase, do your own research. You can make your decisions about what works best for you. This article is simply meant as guide that gives information on all one one page to review.

The Book Merch Box Round Up

If you’ve found this post helpful, please consider giving me a follow. Instagram | Twitter | Facebook

I’m here for another box round up. This post is about book merchandise boxes [no books are in these boxes]. The bookstagram world has turned me on to the awesomeness that is book merch! It’s so fun finding merchandise made by companies who love a book (or book series) as much as you do.

As always, this is an ongoing project and will be updated continually.
