Drew Scott: An Inside Look into His Personal Life and Home Renovations
Canadian reality television personality Drew Scott has made a name for himself as one of the hosts of the popular home renovation program Property Brothers. But there’s much more to Drew’s life than just his work on TV. He’s a devoted family man and has been happily married to his wife Linda Phan for four years. Their love story is as sweet as it gets in the entertainment industry.
The couple first met in 2010 at Toronto Fashion Week and soon began dating. After a few years together, Drew proposed to Linda in December 2016 at a luxurious dinner party. They tied the knot in a beautiful destination wedding in Italy in 2018, surrounded by their close friends and family.
However, in a surprising revelation, Drew and Linda later shared that their Italian wedding wasn’t actually their first. They had secretly gotten married in a hot tub in Nashville, Tennessee. Instead of rings, they exchanged burgers as a unique symbol of their commitment. The unconventional ceremony was a hit with the officiating justice of the peace, who considered it one of the coolest things she had ever seen.
After their two weddings, Drew and Linda were ready to start a family. But their journey to parenthood wasn’t as straightforward as they had hoped. They faced challenges and had to put in extra effort, such as eating better, tracking ovulation, visiting doctors, and practicing self-care through meditation and exercise.
Eventually, their efforts paid off, and they received the happy news from their doctor that they were expecting. They couldn’t have been more overjoyed. Linda described feeling relief, happiness, and peace upon receiving the news.
In December 2021, Drew and Linda shared their excitement with the world, announcing their pregnancy through a joint Instagram post. The following year, on May 12, 2022, Drew became a father for the first time at the age of 44, with the arrival of their son, Parker James.
A few weeks after the birth, Drew and Linda gave their fans a peek into their newly renovated nature-themed nursery for Parker through a YouTube video. The nursery featured a beautiful jungle-themed wallpaper, custom shelving, and stunning light fixtures. The refurbished cradle that their son would sleep in held sentimental value, as it had been in the family for 46 years, passed down from Drew and his brothers.
The nursery also had a cozy green sofa and a versatile bar cart that doubled as a daybed for those overnight baby-watching moments. The couple carefully selected furniture that not only fit their aesthetic but also served a practical purpose.
In addition to these lovely details, the nursery incorporated personal touches, such as stuffed animals from Drew and Linda’s childhoods, closet hooks made from repurposed doorknobs, and contemporary elements like a stunning chandelier and a stylish dresser.
This nursery design was not the first time Drew and Linda put their renovation skills to use. Before getting married, they transformed the Los Angeles house they currently live in into a beautiful home. The interior reflects their impeccable taste, with a living room featuring a cream, green, black, and gold theme, a unique geometric-shaped fireplace, and a cozy master bedroom with a black, cream, white, and brown color scheme.
The couple’s home also boasts a functional kitchen and dining area, with a rectangular table as the centerpiece, custom shelving, and eye-catching lighting. Overall, Drew and Linda are delighted to have a home that they renovated together, one that has become the backdrop for their new chapter as parents.
Drew and Linda are savoring every moment with their son, making unforgettable memories as they embrace their roles as loving parents. Their love story, from the early days of dating to their beautiful weddings and now their journey into parenthood, is a testament to their enduring commitment, creativity, and the power of creating a home filled with love and happiness.
