Make Up : Your Life Guide To Beauty, Style, And Success-- Online And Off by Michelle Phan

Michelle Phan has been a believer in the power of makeup ever since she first experimented with eyeliner and saw the confident, transformed version of herself in the mirror. This love for makeup inspired her to create her first tutorial on YouTube, and since then, she has dedicated herself to using makeup as a tool for self-expression and empowerment.

In her new book, “Make Up: Your Life Guide to Beauty, Style, and Success–Online and Off,” Michelle has gathered all of her best advice and wisdom. Whether you want to master the art of a smoky eye, understand the secrets of contouring, or build an online presence, Michelle has you covered.

Michelle Phan Book Review: A Beauty Guru’s Guide to Success and Empowerment

Welcome back to my article, everyone. I apologize for being absent recently; I’ve been dealing with illness and taking some time off. But now that I’m recovering, I wanted to share my thoughts on a book that I read during my time off: Michelle Fawn’s latest publication. As many of you know, Michelle Fawn is a well-known beauty expert and one of the original beauty gurus on YouTube. With over 7 million subscribers, she is highly respected in the industry.

I was very excited to get my hands on her book, which I had pre-ordered several months ago. And let me just say, it did not disappoint. This book is not just about beauty; it’s an empowering and enlightening read that covers a wide range of topics. From skincare and makeup to fashion, digital presence, and personal development, Michelle provides valuable insights and tips.

The layout of the book is visually appealing, with photographs and personalized sketches throughout. Michelle’s writing style makes it feel like she’s having a conversation with you, which adds a personal touch to the reading experience.

I appreciate that Michelle doesn’t push specific brands or products. Instead, she focuses on general tips and techniques that anyone can apply, regardless of their budget or preferences. This makes the book relatable and accessible to everyone.

Starting with her life story, Michelle shares her journey from her upbringing to her current success. She then dives into skincare, makeup, hair, nails, fashion, and even the digital side of things. She shares insights on social media and building an online presence, which I found particularly interesting.

The book also offers valuable advice on career development, including tips on finding internships and acing interviews. Michelle emphasizes the importance of manners and etiquette, rounding off the book by discussing how to be a better person in various aspects of life.

Although the book covers a lot of ground, it never feels overwhelming. Michelle strikes a balance between providing comprehensive information and keeping the content approachable. It’s a refreshing departure from typical beauty books that are often focused solely on promoting certain brands.

Unfortunately, Michelle doesn’t go into great detail about the YouTube side of things, which I believe could be a topic for a future book. Nevertheless, this minor omission doesn’t overshadow the overall value of the book. It’s an uplifting and empowering read that leaves you feeling inspired.

If you’re interested in reading this book, you can find it on Amazon for around £13 or $23. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded guide to makeup and life in general. And if you’re lucky, you might still be able to get your hands on one of the limited edition covers that Michelle illustrated herself.

Thank you for reading my review, and let me know in the comments if you have any questions or if you’d like me to review more books in the future. Take care, and see you in the next article!
