Sally’s True Origin

Contrary to popular belief, Sally was not created by Dr. Finkelstein. She was actually born in a magical world called Dream Town. Sally’s real parents, Albert and Greta, were the ragdoll governors of Dream Town, making them her true parents.

Before Sally’s arrival in Halloweentown, she lived a happy life in Dream Town. However, at the age of 12, Dr. Finkelstein took her from her homeland to study her and pass her off as his own creation.

The Treachery of Dr. Finkelstein

Dr. Finkelstein had long been attempting to create his own daughter but had failed in his experiments. Intrigued by the magical particle called dream sand, he went searching for Dream Town and discovered Sally. In an act of treachery, he stole her from her home, erased her memories, and replaced her stuffing with Autumn Leaves.

Sally’s connection to Dream Town explains her fascination with dreams, her prophetic visions, and her yearning for something beyond her life with Finkelstein.

Sally’s Struggle for Freedom

Sally rebelled against Finkelstein’s control every chance she got. She became skilled at making potions, hoping to escape and be with the Skeleton Man she loved. However, Finkelstein’s attempts to keep her as a slave proved partly successful.

Sally’s Journey to Discover Her True Self

In Long Live the Pumpkin Queen, Sally reunites with her true parents, defeats the Sandman, and travels through the holiday worlds. Along this journey, she realizes her potential and embraces her new role as the Pumpkin Queen.
