The USB contains some sort of report or oral diary by Holly Gibney, with whom the inspector shared a case that began in Oklahoma and ended in a Texas cave. That case forever changed Ralph Anderson’s perception of reality. The last words in Holly’s oral report are from December 19, 2020. She seems breathless. “I’ve done my best, Ralph, but it may not be enough. Despite careful planning, there’s a chance I won’t make it out alive. If that happens, I need you to know how much your friendship has meant to me. If I die, and you decide to continue what I started, please be careful. You have a wife and a son.”
